- Where is Driven Autocare?
- We’re at Unit 1/54 Export Drive, Molendinar QLD 4214 — an independent workshop serving the Gold Coast, including Ashmore, Southport, Nerang, Arundel, Bundall, Benowa, Carrara and nearby suburbs.
- How much is a roadworthy certificate?
- A Queensland roadworthy (safety certificate) at Driven Autocare is $89. If something fails we quote the repair in plain English before we start. Same-day inspections are often available Monday to Friday.
- How long is a Queensland roadworthy valid?
- For a private seller, a safety certificate is valid for 2 months or 2,000 km from the date of issue — whichever comes first. Licensed dealers get 3 months or 1,000 km. One certificate covers one registration transfer.
- Do I need a roadworthy to sell a car in Queensland?
- Yes, for a private sale of a registered vehicle. You can advertise without one, but the seller must supply a current safety certificate before the buyer can transfer registration. Selling to a licensed dealer usually does not need one.
- What services do you offer?
- Logbook and general servicing, diagnostics, brakes, batteries (24-month warranty), air conditioning, tyres, pre-purchase inspections, Queensland roadworthy certificates from $89 and annual COI inspections for rideshare and taxi. Timing belts, clutch, cooling, suspension and auto electrical too.
- Will independent logbook servicing void my warranty?
- No. Australian Consumer Law lets you service at an independent workshop using the correct specification of parts and oils. We follow the manufacturer schedule and record the service.
- Do you do pre-purchase inspections?
- Yes. A pre-purchase inspection is a hoist, scan and road test — separate from the $89 roadworthy. Bring the car to Unit 1/54 Export Drive, Molendinar.
- Can I pay with Afterpay?
- Yes. Afterpay is available on quotes booked through AutoGuru.
- What are your opening hours?
